17 Step Process For Deep Cleaning of Carpets:
- Do an inspection for all carpet cleaning with customer to determine customers cleaning needs and give a firm price for all work to be performed.
- Lift bed spreads, dust ruffles, and long drapes off floor area to protect them from moisture damage.
- Place commercial furniture slides under furniture legs where needed, to eliminate stress to furniture and to eliminate furniture bleed onto carpet.
- Prevacuum all carpeted areas to be cleaned with mobile cleaning plant or commercial vacuum cleaner.
- Pre-treat carpets with environmental safe pre-soil stain lifters and soil emulsifiers.
- Remove, if necessary, lamps, bric-a-brac, throw rugs, and small furniture to other areas.
- Carry sections of steam and vacuum hose and other cleaning equipment from truck into home. Carefully lay out hoses on carpet and floor areas.
- Wipe down dust from baseboards in each carpet cleaning work area.
- Deep clean carpeted area with mobile cleaning system.
- Retreat and reclean ( second cleaning ) any spots or heavily soiled traffic areas.
- Apply a mixture of sanitizer, stain guard, and odor neutralizer to all cleaned open areas.
- Replace furniture back on wet carpet, place plastic tabs or styrofoam blocks under furniture legs to guard against furniture bleed. Replace lamps and bric-a-brac back in place.
- Have customer to inspect carpet cleaning.
- Roll up and carry steam and vacuum hoses back to truck.
- Pilate all cleaned carpeted areas.
- Remove commercial drying fans, if used on job, and carry back to truck.
- Collect from customer and write a written receipt.
